A valid passport is needed to travel to Honduras and the Bay Islands. Citizens of most Western European countries, Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK and the USA can stay 30 days without a visa. Extensions giving a total stay of 90 days are possible. Visa requirements vary for citizens of other countries. Please contact us if you need to know what the visa requirements are for your country.

Other airlines that offer service to Honduras with connections to Roatan:
LACSA Airlines (800-225-2272) offers connecting service to Roatan from New York and New Orleans.
American Airlines and Continental Airlines have service to San Pedro Sula only. It is possible to fly these airlines to San Pedro Sula and then get on the next flight to Roatan offered by one of the local Honduran airlines (IsleƱa, SOSA, or Caribbean Air). It you are using this option please let us know so that we can make local airline reservations for you in Honduras.
Flying from Europe
Iberia Airlines has a flight from Madrid to San Pedro Sula via Miami on Thursdays and Sundays. It leaves Madrid at 11:55am and arrives in San Pedro Sula at 6:10pm. Iberia's reservation number in Spain is (34)3-29-4353.
Your travel agent can assist you in finding flights to Miami. You can then get a connecting flight to Roatan on TACA.
Dress at Paya Bay is Casual. Cool cottons are recommended. Temperatures range between 75 to 90 F (24 to 34 C). The rainy season is mid-October to January.
